Palestinian Resistance Lost a Valuable Figure: Leader

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei offered condolences over the death of Ramadan Abdullah Shalah, the former head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.

 

In a message on Monday, the Leader said the Palestinian resistance has lost a sincere and valuable figure but hoped that successors of Ramadan Abdullah would make up for the loss through their Jihadi efforts.

Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed condolences to the family of Ramadan Abdullah and the Palestinian nation over the death of the resistance figure.  

Ramadan Abdullah died who led Islamic Jihad had been in coma for more than three years after heart surgery.

It wasn’t said where he died, but he is believed to have been in Lebanon. Shalah, who was born in Gaza, had led Palestinian Islamic Jihad from 1995 until 2018 after the assassination of his predecessor, Fathi Shaqaqi.
